Through my collaborative work I have created a reputation for using best artistic and educational practices developed by the world’s leading opera houses. Recent projects include composing the digital mini-opera Finish This (English National Opera) and the opera for young adults with special needs, The Extraordinary Adventures of You and Me (English Touring Opera).
The Little Zombie Girl
London Youth Opera's 2025 commission of a comic, heart-warming, Gothic opera for young performers about an undead girl blessed with a magical singing voice.
The Sparrow and the Eagle
A 10 minute chamber opera for soprano, mezzo, tenor and string quartet created for English Touring Opera, touring the UK in Autumn 2024
The Great Stink
English Touring Opera presents The Great Stink, a hilarious, fun-filled family show set in Victorian London about poo… lots of it!
Finish This
This exciting digital project fusing opera, live film and animation has inspired over 14,000 primary school students across the UK to compose music as part of the “Finish This” project.
The Extraordinary Adventures of You and Me
Commissioned by English Touring Opera to engage children under 5 and adults with learning difficulties on the Spring Tour 2020.
A Shoe Full of Stars
Winner of the prize for Best Opera for Young People at the international YAMAwards 2018, ‘A Shoe Full of Stars’ was created with teenagers from North Huddersfield Trust School about their reactions to terrorist attacks.
