English National Opera’s FREE music making programme for UK schools
The ENO commissioned “Blue Red Yellow…” by Omar Shahryar and Ruth Mariner.
Curated and co-designed in collaboration with teachers, education consultants and ENO artists.
This exciting digital project fusing opera, live film and animation has inspired over 14,000 primary, secondary and SEND students in 91 schools across the UK to compose music as part of the Finish This… project, which is now in its 3rd year.
Finish This… invites students to step into the role of an ENO Composer and respond to, and resolve, a purposefully unfinished operatic piece titled ‘Blue, Red, Yellow…’. Immersing themselves into the Composer role, they will embrace their imaginations and experiment with music, colours and text, to create their own bespoke response ending – all through the lens of opera.
