Omar is sought-after as a composer, director and workshop leader for national opera companies and community arts organisations who seek to develop new audiences. Omar's works ignite the spark of passion in audiences and participants alike.

In 2015 Omar was awarded AHRC Competition funding to read a PhD in the Composition of Opera for Young People at the University of York.
